Easy Scribe as "Router"

Post by SDF »

Hello,

I'm using sheetcam to write code for my langmuir XR. I've been using easy scribes set up as they describe to in sheetcam with great success. I started experimenting the other day though with using it as a router bit and messing with the pocket function and have really like the effects. The problem I've come across is that it doesn't touch down and set z like it does with a plate marker in the plasma cut operation. It just cuts at one height and never changes. Even if I change material thickness in job operation and set z height at the material surface as 0. Is there anyway to set up the router g-code output to act more like a plasma torch? I'm going to mess with it more this weekend and look at the plate marker g-code and see if I cant figure out how to use it's prompts in the router code.

I hope this makes sense. haha sorry and thank you!

A few people have done this for artistic work. It will need some post processor tweaks. What post processor are you using?
